In order to obtain a license in cosmetology, nail technology, or skin care in the state of Florida, students must complete the requirements listed below. Please contact the Florida State Board of Cosmetology for more information.

Requirements
COSMETOLOGIST: 1200
NAIL TECHNOLOGIST: 240 hours
SKIN CARE: 260 hours

Reciprocity
Given to those individuals holding a license from another State whose requirements are the same or more stringent than Florida's. Hair Braiding registration is available in Florida (two day-16 hour course). Home Salons allowed.
